Heard about this from one of the members at slimming world-apparently it gets you running for half an hour solidly in only 9 weeks just doing half an hour 3 times a week.

Has anyone else done it? I have rheumatoid arthritis so am hoping I can do it plus DD is doing it with me so will be nice to have something we do just the two of us.

Haven't got round to starting it but know a couple of people who have and it has worked for them ,, seems to be a good easy build up and quite do-able

I did it and it works! I then got gallstones, ended up in hospital and stopped. Planning to restart it in a few weeks!

I did it - having not run for about 20 years since school! On Day 1 I thought I was seriously going to die  However, by the end I could run 30-45 mins without stopping so yes it does work

This sounds just like the sort of thing I have been looking to do but keep putting off! How would I go about getting info on it?

sounds like it could be the step up from my 2 mile morning walks. I might give it a go. Just google couch to 5K for details

The NHS have a fab podcast you can download that tells you when to walk and when to run! I'm a size 22 and it got me running for 30mins so if i can do anyone can!!!!

I've done this with my daughter tonight, Day 1- 5 min brisk walk to warm up, 60 sec run, 90 sec walk, x 5 or 6 times (can't remember), ending with a 5 min walk to cool back down. I had the wind blowing in my face and still managed ok, going again on Thurs

There is an app if you have a smart phone which allows you to play your music and it talks over it when you need to do something

That is the one they are talking about, it is fantastic but unfortunately I can't go out everyday running so have to do indoor on the spot running which is slightly different. It did get me upto 5k though, plays music and makes a bell noise and talks when you need to change what your doing,

What is the app called, although I do run now and then well couple of weeks before Race for Life each year would like to now start doing it more often especially as at the moment mindees go at 2.30 three times a week
