Can we provide overnight card in an emergency. It's something I have thought about recently as several mums are pregnant and have no family here. Also what if parents had medical emergency? Any ideas.

I would guess no because of insurance more than Ofsted. Watching this post with interest though.

Ok so I've been checked and cleared with ofsted to provide overnight care but there was no box or mention on my insurance application in regards to overnight care so does that mean I'm not covered to have children in my care overnight even though ofsted say I can? X

I can't remember if mine had an overnight option or not?

Not sure about insurance but I know I'm registered for overnight care with ofsted. Would of thought the insurance would cover it?

Would u not go to Los house? I went on call for one of my mums who was expecting her second and would have gone in the night to stay at theirs. I know it's difficult if you are working and need to be at home for others to arrive though

I just registered for it when I registered for everything else. Just call ofsted and ask or go on their website. It's quite easy

I called today regarding overnight care and was told that even though I was now on their records for overnight care I also need to check with public liability insurance that I'm covered
Best wishes
