Love the things kids say... Last week my ds had a dry red patch of skin near his mouth. I said ooh that looks like a bit of excema (sp), mindee piped up 'I've heard of excema before, they kill polar bears and penguins to eat.' It took me a little while to figure out that he was talking about Eskimos!

Mindees are playing mummy's and babies today, whilst I was making snacks I overheard one of them saying 'she is having twiglets, that's three babies'. Lol!

Makes me laugh!

My son like writing and in particular he likes to write "Inflammation books"

We told him it was INFORMATION books and he said "Erm... Nah. That is harder to say, I think I will just keep on saying inflammation!"

My son thinks about things... a lot! One evening he was messing about saying he wasn't tired, he had a headache, he was bored etc... DH said "Hmm, sounds like you've got 'dont-want-to-go-to-school-itis'"

After about 40 minutes, while DH and I were sat on the sofa relaxing for the evening, we hear footsteps coming down the stairs. In walks a really concern little chap who quivers... "Muuuuum, what is dontwanttogotoschoolitis?"

Cue hysterical laughter and a confused young man staring at us!

My ds comes out with so many hysterical comments. I've started writing them down in a note book which I plan on giving him when he turns 18 :)
Last night he told me that the reason it's raining is because god was fed up with my car being so dirty all the time :) :)

When I was little my sister sent me into the diy shop to get a puncture repair kit (telling me to ask for a puncture outfit)

Cue heartly laughing from the men in the shop when I asked for "a punch you out of it" please

My little sister used to say fellow instead of flower and orange like a French person. My others sis favorite icecream was raspberry ripoff. The one my sis has never lived down tho is when she was about 13 we were playing a game and the question came who was the first moon walker. Her answer was Michael Jackson. I suppose she's not wrong lol.

When DD1 started school I had to explain her pronunciation in case they got concerned an called ss & OFSTED (was minding at the time). She could not pronounce V sound and used W instead - the word that worried me most was "Weirdos" which to everyone else was videos. I colud picture her in class saying "my mum let me and J (mindee in same class) watch the wierdos last night."

I have one mindee who calls Butterflies 'Butters'. He also can't pronounce the 'S' on spoon or the 'r' or the 's' in Prawns, much to his parents and my amusement!

I've got a Coldsore at the moment and my DD calls it a hotsore!

She ha also decided she's marrying a girl when she's older as boys are too messy! She's doctoring (adopting!) her children as well as having babies grow in your tummy makes you fat apparently!
