I've had two enquiries today for after school care! I've not had ANY enquiries for a while now, well not any I can, or want, to take on! I originally wasn't doing after school as it's a half hour walk each way but mum asked if I could pick up sibling of the little one I have. This morning I got a call from a woman looking for information for her daughter as her granddaughter has just started at the same school (we have 2 in town). I've now just had a message through Facebook for an 8 year old (same age as one I have so would be company for her) at same school but this one is until 6pm :yawn: my other two mindees leave at 4.30pm at the latest. But I thought if I'm walking up there anyway I may as well see what hours etc it's for. It's five days a week going down to four (mum can work from home one day a week) so will be an extra £225 going down to £180 a month (4 weeks) which I really can't complain about! It will get me up to almost what I was earning before I started minding too.
She wants to arrange a visit so will see what she says. Not desperate for the work though so not fussed either way. Will be a bonus but will have its cons too so I won't be disappointed if they go elsewhere.
Nice to get some enquiries though - just wish they were for little ones!!
