but mustn't get my hopes up!! after a horrible day (see thread 'why oh why does it happen to me' i've just had an email from parent who initially went elsewhere as i couldn't fit her in! i emailed her to say i could now on the off chance that she hadn't signed with other childminder and she hasn't!!! she said we should meet up!!! this could be answer to all my prayers. can't get too excited though as i've messed her about so she every right to go elsewhere. will have to really sell it as other minder is 25p/hr cheaper but she does charge extra for food!! will need my best selling head on as this contract would mean i could help out my neighbour and get 2 full days all year round!!

fingers crossed!! will let you know when/if she makes an appointment!!

what do people tend to show/say to prospective parents? i was thinking about showing them the diff.areas of my home explaining what we do there and having my toys inventory and maybe EYFS obs forms for them to see? I always give them a copy of my parent handbook to take away including all my policies etc.

last time i was a bit rubbish and just gave the parent my handbook and asked them if i had any questions but i think i need to go back to my head of nursery stage and tell them everything to get them to sign up!!

i really need this contract so want to do my best!
