Hi

I had my first ever off the street walk in last week. Mum needed quick single day shift cover for her daughter as her day care let her down.
All paperwork I did was her emergency numbers, medical permission and sign to say she had seen my policies. Was that enough?

The other thing I'd say is take payment in advance.

Yup I made sure to do that.

Nothing else for her to sign?

I had this happen many years ago - a lady with 3 kids was due to start her shift in local corner shop but was let down by family member, someone at shop recommended me and I had 3 little strangers for the morning - they were as good as gold. As it was the summer holidays my normal teachers children were away and I only had my 2 older children and an older child.

I have a short temporary contract that I got from somewhere that combines details on child record form, emergency contact details, medical permissions, permission to apply sun cream, nappy cream, take in car etc, hours and fees payable (in advance).
