Crb forms

Just chatting to someone today about crb forms and now worried in case 1) mine is out of date and 2) whether I should have applied for the new one????

Do the old crbs expire, do they notify you when it needs renewing?

Do we have to complete the new check if our crb is in date?

The crb is out of date the minute its issued that's why you had to apply for a new one for every new job:-)

Ofsted have confirmed that any childminder with a crb does not have to have a dbs. They have classed you as a suitable person.

The only people who will need a dbs check is any children of your own who become 16 or if a new partner moves in. Or if someone moves in with you on a permanent basis. This now have to be paid for by the childminder :-)

How long does a crb last for. Just looked for an expiry date but can't see one?? X
