Has anyone done the online safeguarding course by Pacey? Will Ofsted accept this or do we actually have to go on a course?

Thanks in advance. x

I don't know the answer to this but I was told that if you are doing the level 3 diploma it covers safeguarding and that that is acceptable.

Thanks Nicola. I'm not doing the level 3 at the moment. I did a safeguarding course in my old job (teacher) but I don't have a certificate to prove it and so am thinking that I need to do one just for the certificate! x

How long ago did you do it? I was told by my LA recently it needs to be reviews every three years just the same as your first aid. x

Well it was three years ago in September. I find it really difficult getting to the courses run by the LEA which is why I would like to do an online one. x

I'm the same. My LEA run them during the week during the working day so I just can't go. I've done a few basic safeguarding ones online that cover different areas but would like to be able to do one online in my own time (not that I have much of that either lol) but it would make it so much easier for me.

Your training course has to be Local Authority approved so you need to go back to them and check it's ok :D

Thanks Sarah. I'll email them when I get DD off to sleep. x
