Hi there

Just wanted to say thanks for all the great advice given about taking on a 4 month old while I have my newly turned 1 year old and to let you know I've gone for it! Help!!! I know it won't be easy and have been honest with the parents to say it will be a challenge and they seem happy enough to be going with it. Little boy is coming for a coupl of hours tomorrow then starting on Monday.

Wish me luck - lots of it!

Thanks
Tracey

I'm glad you decided to go ahead with the mindee, if you hadn't then you will have been wondering if it could have worked, iykwim.

Good luck for tomorrow and even more good luck for Monday. :clapping:

You will be fine though and don't forget we are always here to support you.

I would get into a routine though as soon as possible and try to stick to it as much as possible

I took on a 5 month old when my DD was 17 months and didn't find it a problem at all, to my suprise. You'll soon get into a routine and as the age gap isnt huge before you know it they will be playing lovely together.

Glad you went for it, good luck.

Oh thanks for all your support. I just need to keep thinking that people with twins manage - think it is more the thought but as you all say once I am in a routine am sure will be fine.

Thanks again

Tracey you will be fine, don't worry.

This week i've has a mindee for holiday cover (8mth), my dd 15mth & mindee 19mths.

Its suprising how much easier it is when you get a routine going.

Goodluck, you will be fine, I had my son william when my son was 18 months old, and it was not a problem, I think it was probably easier. Williams now 9 months old and thomas will be 3 in January and they play great togther.
