I made some simple shapes out of coloured paper, laminated them and they hang in the window.

Great idea! I laminated some shapes today to for little ones who are just starting to get excited about them so just shapes (name of the shapes on the back). I was quite excited lol. Loving my laminator right now. x

Great idea - I have just remembered that I have some of those sucker hook things in a drawer somewhere - going to rummage before mindees arrive! Could be gone a while though

What a good idea :)

You could expand on this by making another set and playing a hunt/match game, saying the shape as the children match them up to re-enforce the shape or even the colour and shape...... or, or, or you could do another set but different colours so that they are actualy looking at the shape and not at just something thats the same :) My children love playing games like this and really like hunting around the garden for hidden objects then take great pride in coming in to match them up to what I have set out on the playroom table

I like the idea of making it a matching game!

They look really good - like the idea of the window suckers, better than sticking them flat to the window.
