Can someone please enlighten me? I've tried I really have! I think I have a mental block? Pre reg visit on Monday, I realised I haven't measured the front room properly and will probably be asked about it (just read that from my notes from the course)

My front room is 18ft by 20ft...I have tried using google and other search engines to do do the sum for me but I can't get an answer!!! Do any of you clever ladies know?

That's about 5.5m x 6m

So roughly 33m2

An 18ft x 20ft area is about 33.45m2

There are 0.3048 meters per foot.

By changing the measurements into meters and them using the normal area formula, we'll get square meters as a result.
18 x 0.3048 = 5.4864m
20 x 0.3048 = 6.096m

5.4864m x 6.096m = 33.4450944m2 or about 33.45m2

Does this help

Yes it really does, I haven't been able to understand the conversions layed out on the search engines and none of them were specific to my measurements so my brain went in to meltdown.....thanks so much!

I don't think there are going to be any issues with a 33 sq.m front room!

Thanks Sarah! I need to try and remember those requirements on Monday....
