Hi,

Finally this week, our garden should be ready for the children to use - it's far from perfect but will be safe!

One thing I am wondering about and think I already know the answer to, but want to ask your opinions anyway - I have a washing line up at the side of the house (only way to get into the garden) and I have been using it to hang paintings on to dry - now do I need to keep this away whilst the children are in the garden, or can I keep it as it is and just risk assess explaining that children will be constantly supervised etc?

Thanks xxx

I would say just risk assess it - we cannot remove every potential hazard but we can minimise the risk - what height is the washing line? Are children likely to run into it? If you use it for drying clothes it is likely to be too high for children to run into. Is there any climbing equipment/slides close by that the children could jump off onto the line?
