What on earth is going on. I have had at least 6 enquiries this week from people looking for childcare for September. Not for school age children either but for EY's children. Honestly I have never known it to be this busy. Unfortunately I don't have any EY spaces but a local childminder I know does so I have been giving everyone her number. I just don't understand why it's gone so mad this week.

This is why I need to get ofsted out on Tuesday, then certificate as it is mad round our way, but can't advertise or start talking to parents yet :-( (pre reg) xx

It's been a bit like that here lately. I've had lots of calls for EYs children, so have passed them on to others in our group as I have no vacancies

I made the decision to go after school only and then suddenly I was constantly getting enquiries for EY places. Hadn't had an enquiry in months prior to that! Bet if i decide to get EYs ones again I wouldn't get any enquiries!

You can start advertising but so long as parents know you are not yet registered.

If Ofsted are coming on Tuesday then you ought to have your certificate by September!

Yes if you have done all your paperwork, courses, applications etc then you should get your certificate within a week, if not chase Ofsted!

The last 2 weeks have been mad here as well! Parents are really struggling to find care for their kids, whether it's nurseries or childminders.

Yep everything done.. Even cupboard full of toys etc etc.. All ready for ofsted on Tuesday, once given the go ahead and receive certificate then I'm all done, the lovely lady I spoke to who is doing my visit said that it should take no more than 2 weeks :-) xxx

Actually rephrase that, once I have got my certificate from them and insurance sorted.. Then I am ready xxx
