Do I need to let ofsted know that I've converted my garage in to a playroom & that ill be using that as my main room for childminding when I return to work in September? Will they need to know measurements etc?

Thanks x

When I converted mine I phoned Ofsted and they said for me to risk assess then good to go. Mine has a connecting door from living room to garage so wouldn't know it was a garage from inside. Measurements only come into consideration if you were wanting to take on an assistant and more children or you had conditions due to lack of space.

Yes risk assess it and let them know. If you don't they could mark you down for not letting them know. As you have made significant changes to your house

I moved house twice after my Ofsted visit. The first time, I called Ofsted, they wanted me to risk assess and send them a copy. The second time I moved, they only wanted me to risk assess and did not want a copy!
