Although it isnt quite as hot here as in England the temperatures are well above average.

Children want to be out in garden but it is too hot after lunch plus mindees sleep 2-4pm.

So we want to make the most of the cooler mornings. Mindees arrive about 9ish in holidays and are desperate to go outside. I have retired man one side of me, retired couple behind and young couple with 2 under 5's other side. (they dont get up till lunchtime!!!!) Houses are all detached.

I keep them in till 10am then let them out (today we're having snack outside)

I have 3 and a baby today and they are very noisy and have noticed one neighbour plays nursery rhyme cd very loud when my mindees are outside:blush:

So just wondered what time is too early to be out in garden? And has anyone had complaints from neighbours about noise?

I would think 'office hours' wouldn't let them out before 9, but usually try hold off Til 930ish.. Best part of the day alright and if you Are in at lunch Time when neighbour little one might be napping wouldnt worry about noise

Well that can't be helped .. Not your problem if they can't get their little ones to bed on time! You have a job to do, don't worry about it xx

I would allow at 9am others are up out doing jobs even before that time, bin men, men working on the roads etc.

I differ here, but that is due to all 4 houses around me having young children 5 to about 10 and they are all out by 8 to go to school and work. My first mindee comes at 745 and my patio door is left open for them to play in and out as they wish. They certaintly dont make that much noise that anyone could complain, and secondily all of my neighbours have very noisy children all with trampolines who are out until 10pm at night in their back gardens, schools night as well as weekends, shouting and screaming even though they know i have a young child who goes to bed at 8pm as they see us putting her to bed and shutting her curtains. So i suppose it depends on where you live and what neighbours you have, and how loud the children are.

We usually go out at 9am, once all my family have left for school & work.

Mine are out from 8, sometimes before. They would be far louder if I didn't let them out!!!

Agree with the trampoline, I can hear the neighbours kids 3 doors up til 10ish on their trampoline. I do what I need to do! If they want to go out at 8am they do!

thanks, will just let them out at 9am after my holiday. There are all in bed after lunch (or go home) so it's not as though neighbours have to listen to them all day.

I think office hours too

I don't let mine out till after 9.30 as I know neighbours are still asleep

My neighbour let's her kids out early morning and to be honest think it disrespectful (but they run wild)

8ish here, 1 side is a lovely quite deaf old lady and the other has 2 children 5 and 9, she lets them stay up WAY too late shouting and playing very loudly so..............

We are out most days from 9 - 11, then come in to do indoor activities and crafts to stay out of the sun for a while - I sometimes say to the children "Don't be too noisy as other people want to enjoy their gardens too". We then generally stay in under after afternoon naps and go back out at 2.30.

We let ours out as they arrived yesterday (around 7.30) but we have neighbours who allow their dogs to bark anytime from 6.30 am onwards without anyone trying to quieten them, so we don't feel so bad :D I would normally say from 8-8.30 once they have had breakfast, but it has been so hot that by 10.30 we are having to keep them on the decking with lots of parasols around so it was nice for them to get out earlier and have a bit longer in the garden!!!
