Picked a 3yo from nursery today, soaked in sweat because he had jeans on. I've let him run around in pants for the rest of the day until collection. Starting to think its child cruelty to put on denim in this heat!

Other thing, nursery made my son put spare plimsols on because he was in sandals. They were sandals with strong straps and a back (no loose straps or any way his foot could come out). What's that about?

My mindee always turns up in denim jeans whatever the weather. Surprised I didn't see his winter coat today, that has made an appearance until very recently!

Today I saw an ex mindee wearing a long sleeved tshirt and jogging bottoms!! He is quite strong willed and most likely chose his own clothes but really??? Way too hot, he has got really thick and quite long hair too and looked like he was baking!

Last week I saw him in dinosaur slippers, the type with no back and very clumpy - these were his 'everyday' shoes for the day at playgroup!

My DD (aged 2 and don't I know it!) wanted to put on socks and her Winter shoes today because (wait for it....) "It's chilly"!?!?!?

All the schools around here will not allow girls to wear open toe sandals, they have to wear closed sandals with socks, health and safety.

They told him someone might step on his foot, Jesus I'm sure if he had his light summer shoes on it would still hurt just as much. I'm so sick of health and safety!

I have an after schoolie who always wears his coat or jumper I literally have to prise him out of it having told him in no uncertain terms that he does not need it on. The worse thing is he gets really hot and yesterday went home from school with suspected sunstroke!!!

I start to wonder whether he just doesn't want to take his jumper off or doesn't feel the heat :panic:

My toddler loves her woolie hat since this heat wave started and I have a battle ever morning with her wanting to wear it lol. Funnily enough in winter she would constantly throw it off. Oh the joy of the 2 year old. :)

I think I'm the strange one as I feel weird without wearing my trusty cardigan :/

The pre schools here also have a no open toes shoe policy and no crocs. I think it's fair enough ad they could scrape their toes etc.

Mine came with a vest today!

I also had a 3yr old arrive this morning in jeans and a long sleeved hoody, I changed him into some of my child's shorts and t shirt. When his Mum came she said "where's all your clothes gone" she was of cause dressed for summer in sandals and summer dress!!! Crazy....
