We are turning the spare room into an office but I can't find a decent sized corner desk with drawers, or just a desk with separate drawers to match! I found one on tesco website but no drawers to match, just filing drawers. I need quite a bit of desk space to put trays, printer, laptop etc. They're all tiny, or extortionate!!!

Any ideas??

Before my ds was born his room was my office. I got hubby to make me one. He got a massive piece of wood & attached it to the wall. I just bought 3 of sets of second hand chest of drawers which i painted to go underneath which then supported the weight of what I put on it :)
Buying one ready made in the size I wanted would have cost about £1000 he made it for under £100 :)

It is the 1i want. Called micke costs £125 on old catalogue. I am getting a wide billy bookcase to hold all the boxes of stuff I have.

He's not too bad, it just takes forever for him to get things done. I think it took q before he actually did it

I don't know what happened there! It took him about 6 months to do it

A friend of mine bought some cheap kitchen worktop and then got ADILS legs from Ikea (£2.50 each). Sounds awful but it actually looked really good and gave her a large desk for less than £50 and you can get it the exact size you want.

Here are the legs: ADILS Leg - black - IKEA (http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/70217973/)

Cant remember but have a look on ikea website. The drawers are separate but from the same range.
