Normally I hate it as more work but I've lost my one schoolie and have a term time only child so I get Fridays off over the summer. Can't wait. Know some of you have already broke up but I have a week and a bit left. Role on the long weekends

I am looking forward to no school runs, spending more time with my 2 children and earlier finishes!

I am not looking forward to planning for mixed ages (youngest 1yr and oldest 8yr) but I'm sure we will have lots of fun!

This is our 3rd week of holidays and its been fab! I only work the odd day here & there in holidays so I've had lots of lovely long lies and days out with my 8 year old son :)

This is 3rd week of holidays here too. The first week was utter madness. I had children ranging from 6months to 11years. Had to be really strict and make sure both schoolies and their parents understood the rules.

Littlies were all out of routine, plus 2 only do part time in summer, so we were all a bit confused.

Things much more settled now and lovely weather making life very pleasant.

Finish on Friday for 2 weeks so will be more than half way through by the time I re-open on 5th august

I'm really looking forward to it too, my teacher Mum's baby goes down to 1 day a week instead of full time, 1 schoolie goes to 1 day instead of 3, 4 other schoolies don't come at all, one pre-schooler and baby brother's Mum is self employed and will be flexible on days so I've arranged it so I have every Friday off, as well as my 2 week's holiday. I'll start at 8 instead of 7.30 and finish at 5 instead of 5.30, only an hour a day but makes such a big difference to how tired I feel! My most challenging pre-schooler is leaving to go to primary school at the end of it too:clapping:

I do have to admit looking forward to not rushing for school run. Currently have lots if outings planned. I have 4 term time only children not coming but have 2 who are coming part time during holidays so have more chance of quality time with my own two as well
We have the following planned: 25/7- s&p children's centre, 29/7- nature centre, 30/7- leisure centre, 2/8-s&p children's centre, 5/8- play day local park, 6/8- karting at leisure centre, 7/8- play day local park, 8/8- s&p children's centre, 12/8- Sandwell country park, 13/8 leisure centre, 14/8- family activity day, 15/8 - children's centre, 20/8- leisure centre, 21/8- leisure centre, 23/8- play day at park, 27/8-leisure centre, 28/8-party day at children's centre,

Might not do all of them

Looking forward to the break in school runs and older kids, but still will have 6 under 5! Each one in turn will take their holidays, making less children so some quieter weeks. My holidays not till September, something to look forward to. Will keep busy with the kids and plan lots of fun days out.

I have finished for the summer :)

I'm currently on holiday in Cornwall, enjoying the hot weather.

I don't have any mindees until 3rd September. I am sure I will get a phone call from a couple of them wanting to come and see me.

Not looking forward to it at all! I am still scarred by last year which comprised six weeks of lots of rubbish weather and finding indoor activities for wide age groups and not a toddler group in site! Hopefully I am totally wrong and this lovely weather will continue :-)
