Someone at our group today asked who she had to inform when she starts childminding next month. We didn't know!

We came up with HMRC & Environmental Health. She's already got insurance in place.

Do you have to tell Ofsted, or do you just wait until they phone for the first inspection?

Anyone else to inform?

House insurance? Car insurance? Need them as well as public liability.

Also Development Officer (if there still is one in your area).

Once you get your certificate you are allowed to work. Ofsted will contact you in 6 months and ask if you got any yet. She needs to tell HMRC and get public liability insurance and car business insurance. Thats it.

Need to register with ICO, inform home insurance, register with local fis as some don't automatically upload your details. Don't forget to tell her to register with childcare.co.uk
