After 5 yrs I've made the decision to leave childminding, it's a good time for my mindees as they will be starting sch in Sept.

I would like some help drafting a letter to give my 4 weeks notice please.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks.

Hi Sammy

I think short and sincere would be best. Something like ...

I regret to have to inform you that I have taken the difficult decision to stop childminding . I have loved looking after your children and this decision has not been taken lightly but for personal reasons (or whatever - if you want to say why it's up to you) I have decided to close my business. I am giving four weeks notice of closing on *******
I can assist you finding alternative child care if you need help.
I apologise if this comes as a shock and i also am sorry for the inconvenience and any upset this may cause.

Maybe others may have better wording or other ideas xx

I agree with Jadavi - short and sweet.

Take care and don't be a stranger xx

Thanks, used this wording, it fitted the bill perfectly, handed out my letters this morning, a lot of unhappy parents, but for once I'm putting myself and my family first.
