Hi
I was wondering if anybody could help me in the process of setting up the childminding business. I am really interested and would like help on the step by step process and adjustments that need to be made on the house to make it a secure and safe environment.

Thank you!

Hi

Few things I can think of at mo

You need to do your local authority course which help you do your policies and procedures
First aid

Safety gates
Safety locks
Range of toys, but can say you will get others later
No trailing wires or obvious dangers to children

Lacey or Morton and michel
Car insurance
Public liability insurance
Hmrc self employed

Apply to ofsted
Crb checks

And be prepared to wait, and wait for all the checks etc to be done.

Hth a bit. The course will really help and gives you loads of advice and tips.
Good luck

You might be able to arrange free home visits from your local fire and rescue - for fire safety, and your community police officer - for security.

...just expect them to tell you entirely opposite things to do. :p
