i feel so ill my daughter off too, how do you tell parents you are sick

my daughter and me have been sick all weekend think its a bug,

still had mindees today but feel crap

how do i go about telling the parents i will not be working tomorrow x

i would just give them a call tell them that you are really not well and that you hope to be back to work the next day, i bet they have sick days dont feel bad about it,

Value yourself or nobody else will, I know it's hard but if you just call them and explain they should understand (if they don't do you really want to work for them?)

I didn't take a sick day for years, struggling on sometimes, but now if I need it I take it and no one has left me because of it, I think they actually realise I am human to!:eek:

Just ring parents asap and explain if they're half human they'll understand.
They should have a back up plan incase you're ill!
You and your families health are more important than anything

I had to have two sick days a couple of weeks ago :eek:
I can't remember the last time it happened and I was so worried about letting the parents know and felt so guilty about letting them down.
Anyway they were all fine ( even the usually akward one :rolleyes: ) and one said they would rather me have a day or two off than pass the bug on to their child - parents can be sensible.
So if you need a day or two take them.:thumbsup:

I had to cancel 2 days last week ... the thing is, if you are catching you will likely give it to the children ...

So they must respect your need for time off for that reason if nothing else!
