Ratios, increasing with assistant just over summer hols?

My husband is registered as my assistant but I haven't applied to increase numbers as he is at work all week but in the summer holidays he will be home (he works at a school so will have the full 6 weeks off). I have had an enquiry which would take me over numbers on wednesdays throughout the summer holidays, do you think I could apply to Ofsted to increase on Wednesdays over the summer as hubby will be here.
How long would the process take? Do I just give Ofsted a call or will I need to fill anything in?

From what I understand Ofsted are increasingly ok with a phone call. If he has been accepted as an assistant you need to let them know but don't need to ask them. You are now allowed six between you

Wow how easy was that (well other than the minefield that is the automated helpline where you have to type in numbers galore), I put it to them that I would be over numbers - could I increase numbers when hubby is here and she said "yes fine, not a problem". :clapping:
