If i was to rent a building and convert it so it is suitable for childminding would that be acceptable? Or would that then be classed as a nursery?
I want to childmind but my tenancy agreement says that i am not allowed to do so, this is my only option.

Thanks in advance

Hi, have you actually spoken to your landlord or just looked at your tenancy?
My tenancy says no business can be run from home but my landlord has given written permission so it's ok.
Might be worth a chat if you haven't already done so?

Unfortunately you have to be in your own home to be a childminder.

Thanks for posting this question as im a housing association tenant i was not aware there was this condition!

Just assumed it meant a commercial type.

I will have to find out otherwise im stuffed if im not allowed either :-( x

Yes I agree. You will need a letter of acceptance from him/her as soon as you can so you know the full picture.

You can childmind from a rented place no problems on most cases. We have always rented, I just show them my insurance cert and my risk assessment folder and tell them that I have to keep the house in good order for Ofsted and parents. Usually helps win them round :) good luck!
