Hi all!
I am due to have my second baby early November and am planning on taking between 4 & 6 weeks maternity leave. My lovely mum is currently registered as my assistant and has just about finished her training so that she can register as a fully fledged childminder.
As I don't want to cause too much upheaval to my mindees and their families our plan is that my mum will continue to run my business and care for all my mindees from my home while I take my mat leave.
I am hoping to claim maternity allowance for the weeks that I don't work but am unsure if this will be allowed as even after paying my mum for working full time at minimum wage I will still be making a small profit. Has anyone had any experience in this area?
