What does everyone do for their own kids teacher presents. In my area some mums go all out but I'm more of a cheap but meaningful kind of gal ;-)

Any ideas??

I was just talking to DD about this earlier this morning. For Xmas presents I do Snowman Soup. Don't know what to do for July. Both DD's teachers and DS's teachers have been amazing this past year.

Last year my sons teacher (who was brilliant) left the school for a new life on an island in Scotland! We got her an apple carved out of wood with a message engraved on it. It was from the internet, can't remember where now. She loved it.

My children have potted up plants from cuttings from the garden in the past.

I saw a lovely painting in a classroom a while back that said " miss Lees classroom..where memories are made "

my dd makes a card or something she wants to do but I don't buy presents....I don't feel the pressure to even though most people do.....

Maybe I will just get them to make special cards. They must get sooo many mugs and bookmarks etc!! It must be nicer when the child makes something .

Seeing as I have been super organised this year. Ds' s teacher has a hand painted tankard with superman on saying super teacher. Dd's teacher has a handmade bookmark with her name on. I will usually send in a box of cakes too.
