Well done you :clapping: :clapping: for deciding to give up firstly.

Then an extra well done for actually giving up :clapping: :clapping:

I wish all the luck in the world for doing this, it must be so hard.

I've never smoked but I will be here for you whenever you need to rant and rave.

Congratulations on deciding to give up smoking!! You will see it will be well worth it. I never smoked either, but my mum did. It was really annoying me when I was little as I hated the smoke. Told her hundreds of times to stop it....
Well it has been a few years now since she has smoked her last cigarette and she is soooo glad!! It wasn't always easy at the start but she says it is one of the best things she ever did!!
Your body will be over the withdrawal soon, then it is 'just' your mind!! so I would recon the best way to distract yourself is to be on this forum
as there is always someone to chat to!
I hope the patches will work for you and you'll feel better soon

Sending you loads of strenght to get you through this successfully!!
Keep us posted how you get on!!

Nicole

...oh and add up all the money you can save over the next 5 years and think about loads of nice ways of how you can spend it!! that might help too!!

Giving up is very hard ... have you read 'The easy way to stop smoking' by Alan Carr?

It's an excellent book and well worth the cost.

By day 3 you should start to feel more like yourself as the toxins are clearing ... but you might develop a cough, so be prepared with some cough sweets.

good luck and stay strong ... :D

Oh hun! I know how very hard it is to give up.

Keep going, we are all here for you. Just don't give in. Think of how you'll feel in a few weeks time when you hardly feel the cravings

Good luck xx

Just wanted to say good luck with giving up. Both me and dh gave up together about 4 years ago which made it easier but I do sympathise because it really isn't easy.

Brilliant news! Well done! :clapping:

When a friend of mine stopped she felt awful for 2 weeks, then slowly came out a what she described as a black hole ... keep telling yourself, no drug will make you feel that bad!!

Keep going! :D

Hello
Just wanted to offer my support. I quit on the 30th of June and I am actually doing very well. This is my 4th attempt this year to give up and I am determined it will be the last. I totally understand how you feel. I feel that I get my worst cravings in the evenings so I go upstairs to my bed as I wont smoke upstairs. It means a few early nights but thats the sacrafice I am prepared to make.
Keep it up you are doing so well.
