assistant on holiday...ratio dilema

Ok i have an assistant who is on holiday next 2 weeks. Since march been trying to sort another assistant who has been slow in getting crb sorted (first birth cert then they sent form back as she wrote on it wrong) anyway....she wont be checked in time to.start work and cover when my assistant is on holiday. So. Heres the problem. On a tue i am over ratio by 1 child for 1hr 30min and on a wed 3hours. What do i do!!!!!!!! I dont want to let the family down as we really thought other assistant be ready as they were offered role in march!!

4. Thats why she started with me to take on the extra under 5. I dont know what to do...bit annoyed at other assistant but i feel its as she has never been employed before and hasnt realised the importance fully...

I would write a variation - it is continuity of the children you currently have and you are only talking a short time

Can you justify to Ofsted why you have 4? If so, go for it
