Continuety of care question

Hi, Ive got a LO whos been coming for 2 months, her Mum wants her to come for an extra day but I will be over my numbers and will end up having 4 under 5 on the same day. How long does a child need to be coming before you could consider applying a variation? x

I personally would say that's long enough as long as u have risk assessed have enough equiptment and feel u can cope

I had a variation approved by Ofsted on the very first day a new child started with me.

On his mum's first day back at work they asked her if she could do an extra day each week. She phoned me within an hour of dropping him off, i phoned Ofsted straight away (this was before the new EYFS came in) and they approved it over the phone.

If Ofsted could approve it that soon, I'd say you'd be OK after a couple of months :thumbsup:
