Ive had to apply for a waiver as my husband was disqualified from looking after children, which in turn means I am. Without going into detail these convictions happened 20+ years ago. Does the fact that ofsted and social services have waived these convictions before mean that they should waive them again. Does anyone know how long this normally takes as I can't remember?

Still waiting for news on waiver! Phoned ofsted before 9 on Monday morning and they said they would send an email to the relevant dept. phoned again this morning to chase it up and they didn't actually send the email until yesterday at 5pm
Why does it take them do long to do anything?? :-(

Hope you get an answer soon - government departments aren't known for their speed or efficiency!

Yay! Waiver has been approved. Now for the dreaded phone call for pre reg visit. Don't know why I'm getting worried as I've been through it all before, just a bit easier last time
