Ofsted or DfE guidance form on exceptions? Please help!

Hi just a really quick question please.

Does anyone have a link to DfE guidance or Ofsted guidance to when we make an exception? I know Sarah did a brilliant guide but I am looking for an official guidance for some work I am doing that I can quote from. I am sure there was one but don't seem to be able to find it!

ah thank you Sarah - I was going mad searching both DfE and Ofsted website and getting really non-relevant results! The link on your free download page is working though - I didn't see it there the first time I looked. Is it fact sheet 120117? - is that the same one you have? I am sure there was one that had specific examples of when you could allow it but perhaps I am thinking of the one you did in liaison with Ofsted?
