Ok truss has succeeded where no one else has before and that is to spur me on to send my first tweet!
! I want to tweet my local MP about agencies who happens to be part of Clegg's advisory committee.
I have a twitter account but how do I post to him? I tried a message but it said not delivered as he was not following me (why not I ask myself haha)
Any suggestions gratefully received xxx

You can't direct message someone if they are not following you, you can tweet the message to them but it will be shown to your followers iyswim

Thanks. Will the MP not be alerted to it at all then?
Just my tweeting friends will see it?
Not really a lot of point then is there?

I use Tweetdeck I find it much easier than Twitter.

Once you are logged in there is a new message box top right.

You find the person first - a person is @name - I am @knutsfordchildm

Then you write your message to them.

The more people you follow, the more chance you have of people following you and re-Tweeting your Tweets.

Follow me and look down my list of people I follow - then do the same with other contacts to build up a good list.
