Opinions can be input on FB or by emailing UKCMA

''The UKCMA have been approached by Ministers asking us to provide the opinions of childminders to help them make up their own minds on how to vote. Please use this opportunity to put your opinion in front of those who will be voting about the changes proposed to your industry, your livelihood and your business.

Whether you are a member of the UKCMA or not we urge you to take this opportunity to have your say. This is open to all childminders regardless of the association, group or gathering to which you belong.

Please take the time to ‘Have Your Say’, email us at opinions@************* with your views and your registration number, purely so we can verify that you are a registered childminder. The UKCMA will strive to put your opinions in front of as many MPs, who are still deciding on how to vote, as possible.''

Thanks for that Simona.

Do you know if other organisations have been approached? It seems an odd choice to me if they're the only one (ie. new & relatively unknown). Is this another ploy by ministers? They'll be able to say they asked for opinions, but didn't get many...that's because they asked a new organisation with not many members!

Wouldn't they have been better asking a childminding forum?

Good point...or ask ncma or pla
I have little knowledge of UKCMA but is it worth finding out who approached them...which ministers that is and as you rightly say, why not something with a wider audience?
