I have had an enquiry, originally said no, but mum has come back to me to see if i can, as I only live a street away. I have not had a child who finished mid day. Baby is 1 year old, so would I provide lunch or parent provides it when they go home?

we dont usually have lunch until 1, as baby I have sleeps until 12.30-1pm so we have it when he wakes. what do you do?

I have a mindee who's now 16months and he goes home at 12 one day a week. I've had him since September and up until a few months ago I've always given him lunch before he goes.

Thank you :)

Lunch it is, i think as , even if they honly eat a little something, at least they are not hungry when they leave

I don't think I could guarantee to fit in lunch by 1230... some days yes but others if we are busy playing we will eat later.

I like that flexibility tbh so I would probably say no :D

I have lunch at 12 as I collect four days a week from preschool at 1. I had a mum recently ask me to move lunch forward to 11.30  as her two are used to going to bed by 12. Yeah right. In my house they are little pickles and dont go down till 12.30 or later. Luckily I have a fully trained assistant, who stays here while i do the school run.

I would not offer lunch if they left by 12.30. I would give them a morning snack at 10.30 then parents can give them lunch at home. However if they are leaving after I would think they would need to eat before leaving.

I had a rethink before i came and read posts, like sarah said I cannot guarantee to fit lunch in before 12.30 so will not offer it, but we always have a decent mid morning snack, and as mum virtually lives on my doorstep it will not be long until little one is home for lunch.

I dont want to rearrange our day just for 2 morning sessions per week

Thank you for your input and letting me think out loud :)

what time does she have breakfast, if she has it around 8.00 waiting until 1.00 or after is rather long, l would ask mum to provide a yogurt or fruit desert which you could give her around 12.00.

We have lunch at 11.45 because nursery starts at 12.30, and by the time we've eaten and tidied up it's time to go. So I probably would offer lunch, but do whatever fits your routine and plans.

Lunch here is 12pm so I'd say no as he would be leaving as we sat down

We have lunch at 1pm, I have a child now and again who leaves at 1pm, so i tell his mum to feed him at home as i dont like parents here while mindees are eating, causes too much hassle.

We have quite a strict routine: 12.30 school pick- up. 1pm lunch. 1.45 tv time 2pm Nap/rest time

We have a snack between 10 and 10.30 so child wont be starving

We go out in a morning then little one naps after snack then myself and 3 year old do quit activities until lunch, will stick with one as I don't want parents hanging around as it puts others off from eating etc

We do lunch at 12 here as we have little ones who go down for a sleep at 1. We have a child that leaves at 12.35 on the dot every Friday and we give her lunch which is supplied by her mum. If she hasnt finished it by 12.25 we put it all back in her lunch bag and send it home. Her dad gives it to her when they get home. It works fine for us and dad is ok with that. We have had days when we have been out for the morning and get back just in time for her to go home. She just eats lunch at home instead.

I have a half-day child who leaves at either 12, 1 or 2 pm. I give her lunch on the days she leaves at 1 but not when she leaves at 12, which is what the parent and I discussed and agreed when signing contracts.

We have lunch at between 12.30pm and 1pm so giving lunch early wouldnt be an option as we go out most mornings.

We have lunch all, over the place! Sometimes eleven thirty if they are hungry because they decided five was a good time to get up so mum have them breakfast early too, sometimes nearer one if we're out and have had a late snack...I guess if I had a half day child I'd need to fix it a bit though! I'd probably tell Mum I needed to trial and she should be prepared for me to change any arrangement if it wasn't working?
