What time do you think is acceptable to let the children play in the garden from? i think 8am!

All depends on the neighbours , I have a young couple with a baby and elderly ladies so its usually 9am for us

Hmm, I probably would wait til after 9. We don't get a chance to go in the garden until after school runs anyway.

Yes you do have to consider your neighbours. We have young prof couple who are out early doors and others are families with children who are also up early.

I have elderly retired neighbours so I don't let the children play in the garden until after 0930am.

I know when my children were little they couldn't wait to get outside I would let them out no earlier than 8.30 but mostly after 9am as the others have said you have to think of your neighbours

Also agree with 9 at the earliest, I think 8 would be a little early here as we have retired neighbours who although are up early, probably don't want to listen to the kids running about and being noisy too early :-)

Midweek it's 9am for me although I don't let them out before the school run.

At the weekend we wouldn't let our DSs out before 9.30am (but that's not an issue anymore as they have swimming lessons at 9am these days)

My neighbours put up with enough noise , especially in the hols and afterschool when the bigger ones are here. I think I owe them a little consideration. So after 930 for us.

After school run - schoolies don't play out in case they get their uniforms wet or dirty :D

We dont let ours out till 9.30 term time and after 10 during the holidays as our neighbours work shifts and one a teacher. We dont want to upset the neighbours

In the summer the doors are always open to the garden so its 7.30 start. But i dont let them scream and shout at the top of their voices at any time as i think its unfair to everyone.:(

Ours generally get out 9.30 - 10am purely because I waite until the last one has arrived we then have breakfast.

But I wouldn't think it fair on neighbours before 9am, after 9am if they conplain they are a bit mean and don't have a leg to stand on with regards unsocial hours, thats my theory anyway.

After school runs in case of any accidents. Can't be dealing with that before school. School hols are usual around the same time as we will have a later breakfast then and usually getting picnics ready for days out. But I am always conscious of noise annoying the neighbours although one side of me has a family and friends always visiting so not so much of an issue

In term time it's after the school run or I'd never get them in and off to school!! In the holiday any time after 9. Our neighbours are either out at work or have young children out in their garden anyway.

In the house we lived in before this one, where our neighbours used to sit in the garden with their dogs and miscellaneous children getting drunk and shouting at each other most nights til 2am, I'd have said anything from 7.30 was fair game :D:joker:

In this house, with our lovely neighbours, all of whom are out working regular work patterns, probably 8.30am.

Much like others have posted. I consider my elderly neighbour and mindees and my own lo's dont tend to go out until after 9.30am.

I'd say 9am, but then it depends on the size of your house and garden as it may not bother the neighbours at all

My mindee doesn't start till 9am, however my own DS is quite often out on the drive riding his bike or drawing with chalks in his pyjamas!
