Just checked my email and I had 5, yes 5, tax refund scam letters, so thought I'd remind people, particularly newbies that may not be aware, not to respond to emails about tax refunds.
The tax office do not contact you this way

Good reminder!!! A friend of DH had one and was going to reply thinking he was due a large rebate!! Luckily he happened to mention it to someone before he completed his bank details and was advised on NO account to reply!!!

It's always good to remind people that HMRC would never contact via email. A childminder on my FB the other week was saying how excited she was about getting an email about a tax rebate
