It doesn't fell very comfy for lying on with just a sheet?

I put a fleecy blanket on mattress then the fitted sheet over the top. I found it quite hard and uncomfy without the fleecy blanket

We have made-to-measure mattresses for our travel cots. The bases were rock hard without them and DS wouldn't sleep as well on the hard surface. They didn't cost too much - they fold in half and come in their own zip up bags.

I use a bath towel underneath the sheet . I know what you mean about it being a bit uncomfortable with just a sheet.

I have visions of you all testing your travel cots!!! I add a fleecy, but I don't think the children notice as much a we do? I think car seats are hard, but the kids never ssy anything!

I have 2 single quilts that have been cut in half and re-sown (so I have 4sets). I lie them flat and pull the fitted sheet over, so lo's are sleeping ontop of not under. I keep that quilt with that sheet for each lo.

All mine sleep so well they can't be too hard for them. I don't have any space to store more stuff. So long as they sleep that is all that matters! In day care they sleep on a mat on the floor and sleep well.

I have one of these too. I got mine from babymattressonline.co.uk and it was not too expensive. It is 5cm thick foam and folds in half with a carry bag. When the little ones start being a bit old for the travel cot I just put the same mattress on the floor. I have also taken it with me on holiday for dd to sleep on so I have definitely got a lot of use out ot it.

I purchased a travel cot mattress from toys r us for mine, it's just like a normal cot mattress but not quite as thick and obviously the size of a standard travel cot, wasn't very expensive.

I use a bath towel then the fitted sheet in my travel cot. It's a bit more comfy I think :-)

I don't have special mattresses either. Just what comes with the travel cot. Have used it for my own daughter now 2 years old since she was months old whenever we go away and she has always slept 12 hours if an evening in it and a couple of hours afternoon nap so I'm thinking it must be fine for her lol.

I have some lovely furry blankets I lay in mine, depending on age. It goes in four layers thick so makes it beautiful and soft to lay on
