You might have seen my post about the two one year olds I have where I am struggling to get them to nap a proper amount of time. One is Doing well now she sleeps about one and a half hours

The other though is still only sleeping 40-60 minutes , she is breastfed on demand at night and co sleeps , and goes to sleep without a fight but I can't get her to have a decent amount. Then she is tired again and mum pops her down at 430ish which she says herself is too late.

If mum cut that afternoon nap out would it help? Trying to let her cry it out Ss if she will go back but I have three others sleeping!!!!

My son only slept for 30 min at a time during the day, never any more. I tried everything but nothing worked. He slept 12 hours at night so I gave up trying to change the day.

If she is falling asleep on her own then there is little you can do to make her nap longer. Are you sure that her naps are timed right for her? All my children have napped very differently.

That's what I am wondering now. Is she just not Ready yet to transition to a longer nap, guess she will eventually??!!

Think you are going to accept that this lo only needs that long to sleep :)

One of my little ones sleeps for 3 hours in the afternoon, she's 21 months and another of mine sleeps for about 30 minutes if that. Still gives me time for a quick cuppa though :) x

I have a 10 month old mindee who only sleeps 20/30 minutes all day, sometimes in 2 or 3 10/15 minutes blocks. His older brother was the same and gave up daytime naps at 12 months, some children just don't need that much sleep.

Both sleeping 1.5 hours on average last week or two, not sure why! But delighted! They are coping better with the business here now as a result

Oh well done you!! Yes I think I am on a roll at the moment ! I am delighted as I feel like I have been living in a fog the last couple of months and now have my head above water coping with it all. !

My ds only napped for 20 mins twice a day from birth !! :crying:
I have a one yr old here who I'm lucky to get 30 mins out of. Makes for a hard day when you just need some time to breath doesn't it.
Does mum want him to have longer? As a tshirt of hers may help if he co sleeps?

Yes mum would be happy for her to have longer,

But now it seems she sleeps longer here! Today 1.5 hours, she can only get 40 mins
Max.. I have her bundled up in a cosy toes which seems to help and get her out most
Mornings and busy, mum works from home so not always possible for her. We will
See if it lasts now but has been the case the last two days she has been here,

Yes it's hard going when we don't get a coffee break, I find I only just have tidied up and got myself sorted and she is up again! Poor you with ds like that from birth, think I would have cracked up!!
