I have a question that i need to answer, and not sure how to word it. This is the question * Why is it important for children to be able to self-select a range of play equipment independently?****

Not sure how much you need to write but a short answer could be,

Self selecting/child initiated learning allows the child to make decisions about what they want to do, where, with whom and with what resources, it is an essential part of the learning process that children need to experience in order to understand the world around them. It also helps to develop thinking skills and problem solving.

Makes it easier to look after them! Fosters independence and encourages self confidence through choice of toys they know.
