Had to pick my son up early from pre-school as he was poorly! When we got back I was ringing parents and asking them to collect, in that time he was sick so was explaining he was being sick and one parent got so stroppy! If my son wasn't feeling so rough I would have said no no don't worry I will collect your child so they can inhale the germs and bring them back to you! Honestly some expletive sorry rant over!

I think that as annoying as this may seem to us cm i think we have to understand that it is not always possible for a parent to leave work at a moments notice.
I think its understandable that a parent may find that difficult.

I always try to see things from both sides.

Oh honestly I do I was there once, as a manager under pressure etc so always try to think back but can honestly say if my childminder phoned or was unable to have him I would never have taken that tone with her! I completely understand how annoying it must be but wish hat they would think how I'm feeling having a poorly son, cleaning up sick while panicking on the phone to them!
