One of my mindees tells everyone she is going to be a childminder when she grows up "because you don't have to do anything all day" you have to love 'em. :D

My mindee once asked me why I didn't go to work, I replied that looking after her and the other mindee's was my work. I was then told in no uncertain terms that that wasn't going to work that was playing! :rolleyes:

I was told by one mindee a couple of years ago that mummy and daddy go to work but you just play!!

I have been asked a few times by mindees what I do for work! I think they find it hard to comprehend as we are such fun cm's they just think we love playing!!

Have to say i think its a compliment if they consider we are having too much fun to be working :-)

I think alot of it is to do with the fact we work in our homes, they don't get that. My children gave me a completely blank look when I told them what I do is work, and I get payed to do it, they tell me that's not work, I think most adults agree with them tbh. X

I train all my minded children to say that my job is looking after children ... So when we discuss what everyone s mummy & daddy do, they always follow it up with what I do!
