Daycare Trust again on about increased childcare costs.

Is it me but I am getting am getting a bit fed up about being told how much childcare costs are going up. As from May this year yes I am increasing my hourly and daily fee for new business. My fees have not changed since 2009. I cannot see that it is childminders that have been putting the fees up so regular each year. It must be coming from the nurseries side of childcare. It seems that we are continually being made out to be money grabbing from parents.

And since food, gas, electricity and petrol are all going up then it's completely understandable anyway! :rolleyes:

We were just saying that earlier - I wouldn't mind but I haven't put my prices up in years! :(

It's all part of the Govt's attack on us if they tell enough people loudly enough then it must be true :(

I have put my fees up 3.75% this month. They haven't changed since I started minding up here 2 yrs ago, & costs have gone up.

However I am now charging what I was charging 7+ yrs ago when I minded ' down south'. If I charged now, what I was charging, I doubt I would have any mindees.
