You need a level three here also some local lea training they insist on but don't have to be accredited.

I think it depends on the area, but I am not accredited I haven’t done a level 3 course and had satisfactory for my first inspection. But with the support of my local CDW she recommended me for 2 year funding and i am now on the list for our area.

I'm my area you have to be accredited and you can't be accredited unless you have level 2 safeguarding, level 3 diploma, ofsted SEF, feckkers, hygiene course and a few others. I'm in wiltshire.

Oh and you have to have a good or an outstanding grading as well. xxx

Oh I see , it varies according to area , thankyou , ill dig a bit further

I have emailed my local fis , hope thats right , awaiting reply

Apart from wanting to help a family out I thought it might be good experience , as in a few years i hope to move into family support work and this seems somewhat relevant

You don't have to be accredited in Nottinghamshire - at present time you need to be graded good or above but this may change to include satisfactory in the future
