Quick question but how does everyone work their expenses for food and drink when they charge an all inclusive fee rather than billing parents for meals seperately?

Before I set my fees and started minding I worked out roughly how much everything would cost me so I do breakfast at 50p, lunch at £1.50 then evening meal at £1.00. Hardly anyone has evening meal so days it might be a little more others a little less but over the week it's usually about right.

i charge my parents an all inclusive fee .. this is my income

then in my accounts i put down how much the food has cost me, how much outings have cost me, how much resources & equipment have cost me etc and these are my outgoings.

I do a monthly amount for food on my expenses form

so for example

March
60 snacks @ 20p = 12.00
40 dinners @ 50p = 20.00

Just a point when I attended a hmrc course I was told put down actual cost of childminding shopping receipts and do not put down things like 50 snacks, 1.00 dinner and 1.50 lunch and a local minder was inspected by inland revenue and she had done this and ended up with a bill.
