Sorry for the post but I have to share as I'm on a high today.

I started childminding on 1st October and took on a then a nearly 8 month old, mon-fri full days 8-5.30). Well her 1st birthday is on Monday and she had her party this afternoon and my family (me, hubby & 3 kids) were invited.

I met her grandparents, family and close friends. As we walked in she smiled at me. Then as soon as mum put her down she crawled over to me for me to pick her up. Well once I did tat was it, she didn't want anyone else :-)

As I was leaving her mums mum came up to me and cuddled med thanking me for taking such good care if her granddaughter and with such love and care (my own kids adore her, as do myself and husband), and said as a newly registered cm how fantastically well I was doing. I am so over the moon that they wanted us there, how clearly she adores me and how her family have tAken to me. Apologies again for the boasting post but I just wanted to share with people I know will understand - I'm so incredibly happy and love this job :-)

What a lovely post. It made me feel so happy reading it. :)
You have reminded me of my first ever mindee and how quickly I felt like she became part of the family. It was a lovely feeling and I have never quite bonded with another in the same way. I don't know if was because she was my first or because she was just so lovely. Maybe a bit of both. :)

It's always lovely to be told how much you are appreciated, and to be told by a grandparent it can't get any better than that, you
have every right to be pleased and to write about it,
