Hi,

If anyone wanted to see this is a picture of our puppy, he is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel called Rocky (I am a Sylvester Stallone Fan)

All parents are happy with the new addition to our family. I have a pet policy in place etc but was wondering if anyone has a permission form for having a pet. If so what sort of things did you put? I want to do one that just says I know my childminder has a dog and I have read and understood her pet policy. Will that be enough?

Thanks

melco

Arr bless he is adorable.

I dont have permission forms for me having dogs - what would you do if they didnt agree.

I would consider the fact that your parents have stayed as permission

I don't have permission either - if they don't like her, leave! :) she is part of the family

It is not on my parental permission form that I have a dog. When parents first phone/email I tell them about her & they meet her when they visit - she is part of my setting and I don't see permission as a necessary requirement. Ofsted were ok with it.

Soo cute we have a 20 week old westie!!

Lots of fun, naughtiness and simply gorgeous- enjoy.

I don't have a permission for it they know about him (we had an old boy before- dog not bloke :laughing:) and they know up front. If you have a policy it should be fine.

He is gorgeous.

I don't have permissions for pets either. I just have a risk assessment in place for pets. Which covers things like making sure they are wormed and have the neccessary innoculations and health checks, also that I check the garden for poop, and that the children wash their hands when they have finished playing in the garden or after touching the pets.

Hope that helps.

I do have a permission form which parents have signed. It is pet handling permission despite my dog always being behind stairgate.

I had an incident happen and ofsted took no action due to parents signing form

They are shih tzu's but the lighter one does look like she has some bichon in her (although her papers say not)
