I got it! I got it!
I'm a little excited! OFSTED just rang to confirm I have got my variation to work with an assistant.
Currently I'm registered for 4 under 8's 2 of which can be under 3's. (I have a 6yr old and a 4yr old of my own.)
My new numbers when an assistant is here will be 6 under 8's of which 3 can be under 3's.
They said my mum (my assistant) can start right away but can't be left unattended with the children or take them to the loo etc until her CRB is back.
This has got me out of a rather sticky situation where I was going to be over my numbers for 20 minutes on 2 days in July before school! I'll be ok now as my Mum can pop up, she only lives 10 doors away!
Oh I'm so pleased, means I can take on another before and after schooler in September now :o)
