Hope it does not give the rest if us a bad name. The person could of been working anywhere in any job. You can never be sure someone will be 100% right in a job but this is not what us childminders need at this time what with the news at the moment etc.

Heart goes out to the families and children involved :(

So true. It happened in a school near us a few years ago with one of the staff and when the story can out it had been going on for years.

Just as parents are really coming round to accepting male childminders. And so they should, there are some fantastic male childminders around (my husband being one of them ;-) ) This makes me sick. How vile....

Yes I hate reading things that that. I'm the only independent male childminder in the Bath & Northeast Somerset region (a stone's throw from Bristol). I've worked really hard since I was registered last October to get myself noticed and try to allay parents' fears about male childminders. I've written posts and articles for our local website about male childminders and how I came to becoming a childminder, which have been received really well. Stories like this don't help my cause at all :(
