Volunteer requirements

Hi all I am looking at having a volunteer from the college to help me out a couple of hours a week. She will not be left alone with the children so do I still need a crb/first aid cert for her and a ey2 thanks soph

Do you mean a student doing a childcare course or a paid volunteer? Usually the college do a CRB when the student first enrolls as they will be working in settings so if they will be helping you as a placement from their course you wont need to do one. Also they will do first aid in their course so again that will be fine. I dont know what an ey2 is so cant help you with that sorry

mine is starting tomorrow..so i did a search looking for the same info..she has CRB and first aid ..do i need to register her as assistant ,,can i include her in my numbers.. as in have more LO on the days she is here ? not planning on but would be interesting to know

You need to make sure that Employers Liability insurance is in place
