I have noticed that my mindee loves to carry things around with her. I have bought her some of the cheer leader pom poms & she loves these but obviously have no learning outcome/goal. Could anyone help me with any ideas to involve her love of carrying things but with an objective. I know not everything needs to have a outcome but she spends so much time just doing this it would be nice to expand on it. Thanks ladies x

Carrying things around is known as a transporting schema - the outcome is to have fun and follow the child's learning style.

Schemas are linked to the characteristics of a child's learning - by knowing how the child learns you can plan activities you know they will enjoy in the future.

Cheer leader pom poms certainly have developmental goals depending on what she is doing with them.

I would think her activity could be linked to moving and handling. She might like to throw and catch them for variety. Possibly counting and number too as she has more than one of them.
